This is my first finish for the month I made a Christmas fabric ball. It was so much fun to make but it dose take a lot of pins I also use my glue gun as well to put the tassel on and to glue down the ribbon.

Last year my cat Angie past away. I said I would never get another one.

This lovely cat was dump and my daughter took it in, as she had a kitten she ask me to look after her till she had her kittens. These are the kittens she had, the gray one is a boy and the black chocolate one is girl. Guess what I keep the mum and the black one. I found a home for the gray one. The mun one I called her Dora and the kitten I called Lilly. I also got her fixed so no more kittens.

Sarah and my self have a challenge to get our Christmas fun BOM by Lynette Anderson finished by Christmas this year, and if we don't we have to pay the other one out for the patterns and the fabrics. I am always naught because I don't get thing finished off. NO way am I going to pay her LOL. So this is my first block.

I had my granddaughter yesterday when I was putting her hair in a bun my dog Zara, was crying yes we work out what was wrong she wanted her hair brushed to. Don't you just love them and they say dog are dumb.

A Special Gift Quilt.

Last year our friend Kristy gave Sarah and my self a few BIG bags with fabric and pattern and quilts in it. So Sarah decide that we should finish on of the quilt off and give to Kristy as a thank you presents. Sarah did the quilting and I do say she done a great job of it. Then she gave it to me to do the binding and I took it back to here to put the label on it and to hand it over. Is it Sarah finish or my finish ?

Cherry Shed Fun Day Of Sewing

Sarah and Peg and my self was up early last friday to head to Launceston to pick my sister Judy up then head to the cherry shed at Latrobe. This is Sarah with her head down sewing.

This is my sister Judy that was blogless not no more she has a blog I will put up her blog when she put up a post. Judy makes the most beautiful card.

This is Vicki, Kristy,and Lib look at them girl working had to get the whip out. LOL

From front to back Peg and Christine, and Christine, Peg is New to sewing and she finished a table runner off, by the way her real name is Christine as well, O boy 3 Christine in one room. We all had a great day out do hope we can all do it again.

Bon Bons For Christmas

My neighbour over the road from my house gives us fresh eggs all the time and will not take any money for them. So I thought it would be nice to make her a bon bon with some yummy sweet in it.

I also made one for my hair dresses as well she just love it. Just look at the Chocolate spoons I put in the bon bons.

Christmas Gift

Our on line group FIS had our Christmas secret santa swap. This year we had to make or buy 5 small present then make one for Christmas day. My swap partner was Leanne.

I made this goose bag from hatched and patched and filled it with sweets.

I gave her a ric rac pattern and some ribbon and ric rac.

A bon bon with chocolates yum

I also gave her fat quarter and a tape measure in it own tin.

Last of all the small presents was this scarf I made in pink.

This is the present I made for Christmas day block keeper bag. Made from Ruby fabric.

Helen's Birthday

Our on line group has a birthday swap every year my birthday partner was in December. My swap partner was Helen. We had to make something starting with the letter from were we live. My Town started with the letter G so I made a Gail Pan table runner in green fabric. I also gave her Ginger bread babies, Gobstopper, green fabric,

On My Walk

On my walk up the beach a few week ago this what I come across. We had so much rain that I could not get to the other side of the beach. Most of the time you can just step over the water it is only a trickle but not today it was raging.

You can see here how fast it was traveling.

This is were I was trying to head to the sand dunes it dose not look very step, but it is talk about a work out.

Friendship Secret Mission

On Friday Sarah and my self was up early to Head to Burnie to meet up with Vicki and Christine, on a Secret mission, our first stop was for a coffee and a chat then it was on to spotlight for some shopping, then then it was on to Vicki for lunch. You see, our dear friend Vicki and her Hubby have had a bit of a rough trot with cancer, and our online stitching group (Friends In Stitching) decided to make a friendship quilt.

Vicki made us this lovely Risotto, I tell you it was yum. How did Vicki no I love risotto.

This was me handing over the quilt to Vicki and Glenn They had no idea.

This Vicki and Glenn reading there card and checking there quilt out. We decided to make the quilt cream and blue so they both could enjoy it. We all no that Vicki loves here BLUE!!

There were 22 girls involved in making this quilt from Qld, NSW, Vic and Tassie! We all did a stitchery and a plain block, sent to NSW for Lynda to put together then back to Tassie for Sarah to quilt then brought to me to do the binding, Jane made a lovely label. What a great job from all of us well done.

I Have been Nag At

My DH told his mate that I would make curtains for his boat talk about dob in. So I went to town a few month back and pick out the fabric, I thought this was a good colour fabric for men. So I have had the fabric sitting in in my sewing room for a few month. Both the men started nagging and nagging at me so the only way to shut them up, was to make the curtain all 8 of them made up ready to go in to the boat. I ask Peg did this count as a finish and she said yes if it is made of fabric well it is. I have made some more thing this week as well but they are for Christmas so I can't show them yet. Well better go I am working on a very, very Special gift I will reveal later..

Little miss 5

Yesterday we celebrated my granddaughter 5 birthday party at the beach in the park. My granddaughter is the one in the block dress. It was one of the best birthday party that I have been to, the children had so much fun they all went home full and happy.

This is some of her presents.

There was Pinata what great fun they all had with it, even I had a go but my SIL pulled it right up in the tree when it was my turn. Fun day had by all.

Were do I start my friend Kristy which has a blog but has not blog for some time now, is not sewing any more and had a clean out. I brought her sewing machine off her at Christmas time last year. Well I got this basket of of fabric off her and it is Full to the brim. She gave me hoops and patterns and lots of bits and pieces. The fabric will come in hand as DH has been out of work for 5 month and no work in site. Well I am off to put it all away. Happy birthday to my Grand Daughter Laural-Lee have a great day.

More Sad News

I have got more sad news. I took my cat Angie to to vet last week the vet told me that there was nothing wrong with her but I new she was sick. Last night my Angie that I have had for 14 great years died. I got up to find her still in her bed. I will miss her so much at least she is not in pain any more my sweet little girl R.I.P.

Farewell Hazel

Some sad news my daughter had to take her puppy Hazel to the vets yesterday. The vet rang her up today to tell her that Hazel died over night the vets do not now why she died, the children are very sad about it. We only had her a short time but she gave us all lots of love farewell Hazel.

I have finely finished off my table topper that I showed you here. This is a Schnibbles by Miss Rosie,s Quilt Co called Houseboat. The fabric range I used was Primrose Inn by Black Bird .

Sarah was ask to go to a friendship day with her on line store patchworks plus. So she ask me and my sister to help out. Boy we had a great time we was busy all day. Sarah gave us some gift from helping her out .

The two older people in this photo are very dear Friend they was over from Melbourne. They came over because we lost a dear Friend 2 week ago. My 50TH Birthday

It was my 50Th birthday on Monday and I got this lovely present from my online group.

My swap partner was the lovely Teresa our theme for this year birthday swap was the first letter of your home town. Teresa's town started with the letter ''S'' I got a scissor keeper, strawberry scissor fob, scissors (stork ones too) soap, soap bag, and last of all sunglasses case.

My Mother Day

I had a great mother day my son cooked me breakfast then we got ready and went and seen my mother in law gave her a bunch of flowers. Got back home then my son cook me lunch after, lunch then it was off to see my mother which we spoilt rotten. My daughter brought her gifts around to me. What a great day I had.

I got these pj and tulip chocolate and also this other chocolate ''I love mum'' You will see me coming with my new pj's with butterfly's all over them.

I got this hair dryer from my son because I needed a new one.

Goodies

These are the goodies that I got from the Craft & Quilt fair.

The top of then needle is finished like a file. It is very simple to handle and makes it possible to repair snags in even the finest materials very quickly. I got to use it on my son good jumper today work very well.

I had to have this little iron now I can take it with me on retreats.

Then I brought this shaver for my fabric, I also used this on my son jumper to get the fuzz balls off. It look like new again.

Last of all I brought this Bambino blankee. This is going to be made up for my grandaughter.

Craft & Quilt Fair

Dome Threaded Needle Case

I brought this done threaded needle Case. I put my threads in it today as I had a dentist appointment and my dentist was running late. So I got it out of my bag and all the needle neatly in on place and needles all threaded for me. I did get a lot of my work done because I didn't have to thread my needle all the time. I got Leanne to sign the front of my quilt. My pussy will not be getting on this one.

This is some of the quilt in the vignette. It look so nice but it is going to be very big and a lot of work. I took 3 photo of the quilt so you all could have a look.

This is the hexagon quilt in issue 2 of the vignette is just beautiful. My daughter has started doing this quilt and has all ready made a lot of the hexagons and put them together.

Sarah ,Leanne and my self was up early to head to Hobart for the Quilter Crow Gathering the guest designers were Leanne Beasley and Rosalie Quinlan. This is the first time I have been to the gathering what a wonderful venue. I had such a great day. Thanks to Sarah for driving us down and back. Sarah and Leanne do not tell any one about what happen in the shop LOL..

Our table was for all the blogger there was Leanne, my self, Liz and Vicki. Front Sarah, Jo, Fee and Jen. It was so nice catching up with every one and meeting Jen for the first time.

Here is Leanne project for the day. A Needle Roll this is the project I started so I could learn how to do Dresden's

Here is the inside of the roll a place to put your needles a little bag for your threads, cottons and bits as well as a pocket at the other side. This is going to be a part of a set. I just love the Dresden's on the needle roll. I will show more tomorrow.

On Friday Sarah and my self headed over to Exeter, to put some of our crafts in to the Exeter show. I got a third prize for Oopsie.

I got a second price for Bella- Rose. My doll has been in 2 different shows now and got a second and a third price.

Fun Time

My family went camping last week before school started. My DH has been given some land to go and stay on any time we like. We had such a good time there I went walking every day as there is road all through the property. There is a river as well so we can go fishing to. This is the kids tent. I made a video of our time away but I can not up load it because it is to big.

Off To The Doctors

I had to go to the doctors to night. My mum come for tea as I started to cut the pumpkin up, mum said to me be carful cutting the pumpkin up, and just as she said that what happen I cut my thumb so it was of to the doctors. I was very lucky because I cut it on a angle I did not need stitches so he wrap it up. I am so glad but I did have to have a tetanus needle.

This was my Christmas gift from Sarah. Why was I laughing because she said that I mite get the basket for my birthday. I had no idea that she was making it for my late Christmas gift.

I have put some thing in the pockets. My rotary cutter is bigger than most of them. so I had to put it in the bigger pocket.

What did I do for Australia Day I went to a rodeo with my family and it was very hot we had to use a lot of slip slop slap.

Ready Made Doll

This doll come all ready made this is Pippa-Rose my granddaughter. She sat up on the seat all by her self so I had to take a photo.

This is the seat she sat on I have 2 of them . I brought these seats from my old primary school when my daughter was a baby. I sat on these when I was at school long time ago now.. My grandchildren and other children that come over love to sit on them. I have had people ask me can they buy them off me, you now what my answer is NOW WAY...

Busy, Busy, Busy

I have been cleaning my sewing room up, I only had one book shelf to put all my fabric in. I brought these plastic tubs and the cupboard last year and been waiting for DH to put then together. Over the week end I decided they was going up, and I went to the garage got the cupboard and started to put it together then DH come in to help and so did his brother. The morel of this store is to start putting then up your self then they will help LOL.

These are the tubs with all my bits and pieces in it.

New Sewing Machine

This is what I got from DH for Christmas. One of Sarah friend was selling it because she has not got time to sew . She said that she had not use it much at all. Sarah new I was looking to buy one and ask me would I like to buy it .. Well you now what the answer was, also I get all her fabric to go with it and that is lots of dollars worth lucky me.

Now to my new blogger name.. Queen of the unpickers.. When I stated to learn to sew I use to unpick my work all the time so Sarah nick name me Queen of the unpickeds so I said that is a good blog name, I Was sick of Razzy's special place . It was time for a new name Sarah said that it sound just like me.. LOL
