This cone is Designed by Nancy Halvorson. I made it for the Launceston show. It did not get a place in the show.

Show Win

I was meant to put this on my blog last week but I have been busy. I got third place at the Launceston show for my doll Bella Rose. This is the first time I have put any thing in the show and to get a third placing - I was so happy with my win.

Remember this Quilt that Sarah and myself made for my mum and dads 50 Th wedding anniversary well we got second place. Here is the ribbon . I was not going to put any thing in the show. But Sarah said that I had to, Sarah can be a slave driver some times. But it payed of because I got some prizes thank for making me Sarah. Well we gave the quilt back to mum and dad with the ribbon we thought it would be better to give it to mum and dad because it goes with the quilt.

Busy Day

Yesterday was a busy day in my house. I decided to make home made tomato sauce. So I got every thing ready and took it up to the barbecue area got the gas going and made my sauce. Washed bottles, put them in the oven to dry them out and kill any bacteria. Then my SIL come around to help get all the skin and pips out. We put it through my Grandmothers special sauce grinder. This is what I end up with 22 bottles of sauce. Then it was off to share it out with family and some friends.Also my lovely SIL put the new railings on the front steps, Of cause my Granddaughter Laural-Lee had to help her dad. Yes nan had to take a photo of her helping her dad. The job got started last year but you now what men are like never can rush a good job ..LOL .Well it is done now thank goodness. I will be back to show you some more news as I have not taken a photo yet .

Thank You Gifts

while Sarah has been away on holiday I have been running her online store, I have never done any think like that before. I was so warred that I mite send the wrong thing to people but all went well . I was also warred that the weight would be wrong but I got that write as well. But I am glad Sarah is back it dose take up a lot of time all that packing and checking the right addresses then down to the post office to send them of. So I went and seen Sarah and Dennis to day as it was there first day back home. Sarah had some Lovely thank you gift For me ..... Look at this beautiful bag that she made for me I just love it.

I also got this lovely Butterflies and blossom dolly I just love the colours you have been so busy making these lovely gift for me Sarah thank you very much.
I got this as well it is a pincushion. It is very big you can put a lot of pin in this one.

I also got a writing pad and a very nice card to say thank you but I forgot to take photo's of them.

My New Granddaughter

She is here My lovely baby Granddaughter Pippa-rose Alice smith. My daughter had her in two hours from the first pain. There was some troubles as Pippa had her umbilical cord rape so tight, around her neck that when she was born she was not breathing, with the fast work from the doctors they got her breathing again. Then my daughter had some problems as well. But they are both doing really well now. Pippa-Rose Alice Smith born on the 3 0f October 8pounds 9 oz with lots of hairThis is the proud Grand Father. The photo are a bit late as I have had my hand full helping Sarah with her online shop while she is away on holidays getting thing ready for the Launceston show and looking after Grandchildren as well.
